Kalkaji Temple, New Delhi
Kalkaji temple dedicated to the Goddess Kalka Devi. Kalkaji Mandir is
very famous and has numerous devotees thronging it on many religious occasions,
throughout the year.
The temple is situated on a hill and is dedicated to Kali, This is a very
old temple and the oldest part was built up in 1764 A.D. The Kali Temple
in Kalkaji boasts of an existence of 3,000 years, although the oldest
surviving portion of it dates to 1764-1771

The Lakshmi Narayan Temple or the Birla Temple
The Lakshmi Narayan Temple or the Birla Temple as it is popularly known
enshrines Lord Vishnu - the preserver of the Hindu Trinity. the divine
tranquility of the temple is interrupted only by the melodious kirtans
that echoes in the sanctum sanctorum. The temple enshrines almost all
the deities of the Hindu Pantheon.
Sri Harminder Sahib OR Golden Temple, Amritsar
Sri Harmandir Sahib, also known as Sri Darbar Sahib or Golden Temple,
(on account of its scenic beauty and golden coating for English speaking
world), is named after Hari (God) the temple of God. The Sikhs all over
the world, daily wish to pay visit to Sri Amritsar and to pay obeisance
at Sri Harmandir Sahib in their Ardas.
The building work completed in 1601 A.D. on Bhadoon Sudi 1st, 1661 Bikrmi
Samvat (August/September, 1604). Guru Arjan Sahib installed newly created
Guru Granth Sahib, in Sri Harmandir Sahib and appointed Baba Budha ji
as its first Granthi i.e. the reader of Guru Granth Sahib.
Its architecture represents a unique harmony between the Muslims and the
Hindus way of construction work and this is considered the best architectural
specimens of the world. It is often
quoted
that this architecture has created an independent Sikh school of architecture
in the history of art in India.
Varanasi (Kashi) Famous Hindu holy city situated on the banks of the river
Ganges (Ganga) in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, name Kashi is mentioned
in the Rig-Veda It is also referred to as "city of temples and learning
Kashi Vishwanath temple, Varanasi is one of the most famous Hindu temples
dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the holy city of Varanasi, The temple
stands on the western bank of the Hinduism's holiest river Ganges and
the deity is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas the holiest of Shiva deities.
The main deity is known by the name Vishwanatha or Vishweshwara meaning

Mathura is the reputed to be the birthplace of Krishna "Krishnajanmabhoomi"
The Keshav Dev temple was built in ancient times on the site of Krishna's
supposed birthplace.

According to tradition, Krishna was raised in the cowherding village of
Gokul by his foster parents Nanda Maharaj and Yasoda. The Bhagavata Purana

he, his brother Balarama, and his cowherd friends stole butter, engaged
in childhood pranks and fought with demons. Along with these activities,
Krishna is also described as meeting and dancing with the local girls
of Vrindavan village including Radharani who were known as gopis. These

Khajuraho

Brahma Temple, Pushkar
